Michigan Water Resource
The American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) have been representing the professional water industry for over 80 year and are dedicated to serving as an educational resource for Michigan's science teachers.  Our members include water works personnel, consulting engineers and scientists, regulators, vendors, and manufacturers.
We are here to help by answering you water questions, providing you with drinking water and connecting you with drinking water and wastewater professionals in your community.
Tools for Teachers
Get new ideas and hands-on activities for your water lessons.
Each year the AWWA & MWEA give two $1,000 grants for water-related projects in Michigan classrooms.
Your high school student's science fair project could win them (and you) a trip to the national competition of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, the most prestigious youth award for a high school water science research project.
The MWEA & AWWA can help pair your students with water and wastewater professionals as mentors for their next science fair project, or to learn about careers in the water industry.
